Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and mortality risk factors of fever associated thrombocytopenia syndrome(SFTS)in Pukou District, Nanjing City, and provide a basis for scientific prevention and control of SFTS. Methods: The infectious disease report cards and case investigation forms of SFTS cases were collected and organized in Pukou District, Nanjing City from 2020 to 2023 to analyze the distribution characteristics and the risk factors for death. Results: From 2020 to 2023, a total of 74 confirmed cases and 20 deaths of SFTS were reported in Pukou District, Nanjing City, with a mortality rate of 27.03%. The incidence rate showed an overall upward trend(χ2=7.666, P<0.01). Cases were reported from April to November, with a peak in incidence from May to July. The age of onset of the cases was concentrated between 60 and 75 years old(50.00%), mostly being farmers(85.06%), and more females than males. 81.43% of the cases had two or more medical visits, with a median interval of 13.00 days between onset and diagnosis. Advanced age was a risk factor for mortality of the cases. Conclusion: The incidence of SFTS in Pukou District is on the rise, with a spreading trend in case distribution and a high case fatality rate. It is necessary to focus on publicity and education for the rural elderlies and improving the diagnosis and treatment capabilities of medical staff in the area. |
