Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the mobile health intervention on home care for children with epilepsy. Methods: A systematic search of PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, CNKI, VIP, WanFang Data and CBM was carried out to collect randomized controlled trials of mobile health intervention on home care in children with epilepsy from the establishment of the database to January 1,2024. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data and evaluated the literature quality. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4. Results: A total of 9 randomized controlled studies were included, involving 945 children with epilepsy. Meta-analysis showed that nursing intervention model based on mobile health could effectively improve medication adherence in children with epilepsy(MD=3.55, 95%CI 2.30-5.47, P<0.001), quality of life(MD=6.22, 95%CI 3.03-9.40, P<0.001) and family disease management level(MD=-4.54, 95%CI-5.72--3.36, P<0.001), However, the knowledge of epilepsy in children with epilepsy was not significantly improved(MD=-0.03,95%CI-0.15 -0.09, P=0.59). Conclusion: The nursing intervention model based on mobile health can effectively improve the medication adherence, quality of life and family disease management level of children with epilepsy, but it does not significantly improve their knowledge of epilepsy. |
