Objective: To observe the expression level of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) small nucleolar RNA host gene 3(SNHG3) in cancer tissues of patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), and to explore its clinical significance and relationship with prognosis. Methods: Ninety-four NSCLC patients diagnosed in our hospital from January 2012 to January 2014 were regarded as the study objects, and the cancer tissue and the corresponding paracancerous tissues was included. The expression level of lncRNA SNHG3 was determined by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR) method, the relationship between lncRNA SNHG3 and clinical characteristics of NSCLC was analyzed; after 5-year follow-up, the relationship between lncRNA SNHG3 and survival time was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier survival curve, and the factors influencing the prognosis of NSCLC patients were analyzed by Cox. Results:The expression level of lncRNA SNHG3 in cancer tissues of NSCLC patients is higher than that in paracancerous tissues(P<0.05); and the expression level of lncRNA SNHG3 in cancer tissues was correlated with age, tumor primary lymph node metastasis(TNM) stage, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and smoking history(P<0.05). The total survival time of lncRNA SNHG3 high expression group was lower than that of lncRNA SNHG3 low expression group(P<0.05). Single factor Cox regression analysis showed that the expression level of lncRNA SNHG3, gender, TNM stage, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and smoking history were risk factors for poor prognosis in NSCLC patients; and multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that lncRNA SNHG3 expression level, TNM stage and smoking history were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in NSCLC patients. Conclusion: The expression level of lncRNA SNHG3 in cancer tissues of NSCLC patients is higher than that in paracancerous tissues, which is closely related to TNM stage. It is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis and can be used as a predictor of poor prognosis. |
