Objective: To explore the level and clinical significance of helper T cell 17(Th17) and regulatory T cell(Treg) in peripheral blood of asthmatic children in remission stage and attack stage.Methods: 100 asthmatic children admitted to Tangshan People's Hospital from July 2011 to July 2014 were selected, according to their condition, the children were divided into attack group and remission group, and 50 healthy children in the same period were selected as healthy group. The percentage of Th17 and Treg in peripheral blood were measured by flow cytometry, and Th17/Treg value was calculated; the levels of serum interleukin-17(IL-17) and interleukin-10(IL-10) in all subjects were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR); the lung function indexes of forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1) and peak expiratory flow rate(PEF) in all subjects were measured; and the correlations between levels of Th17, Treg, Th17/Treg valuein peripheral blood of asthmatic children and levels of IL-17, IL-10, pulmonary function parameters were analyzed. Results: Compared with those in remission group and healthy group, the percentage of Th17, Th17/Treg valuein peripheral blood and the level of serum IL-17 in asthmatic attack group were significantly higher(P<0.05), and the percentage of Treg, the level of IL-10, FVC, FEV1 and PEF were significantly lower(P<0.05); compared with healthy group, the percentage of Th17, Th17/Treg value in peripheral blood and the level of serum IL-17 in the remission group were significantly higher(P<0.05), and the percentage of Treg, the level of IL-10, FVC, FEV1 and PEF were significantly lower(P<0.05). The percentage of Th17 and Th17/Treg value were positively correlated with the level of IL-17(P<0.05), and the percentage of Treg was positively correlated with the level of serum IL-10, FVC, FEV1 and PEF(P<0.05). There were negative correlations between the percentage of Th17, Th17/Treg value in peripheral blood and FVC, FEV1,PEF(P<0.05).Th17/Treg value and the level of serum IL-10 showed negative correlation(P<0.05). Conclusions: Th17/Treg value has a high level in asthmatic children both attackand remission period, which increases with the aggravation of the disease. It is helpful for evaluating the condition of asthmatic children. |
