Objective: To explore the changes of cerebral function in ultra high-risk(UHR) subjects for psychosis during resting state. Methods: A total of 35 UHR subjects and 35 healthy controls(HC) were scanned by resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to obtain the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF) value, scale of psychosis risk symptoms (SOPS)was used to evaluate clinical symptoms in UHR subjects, the correlations between ALFF and the severity of symptoms were examined using strict correlation analyses within brain areas. Results: Compared with the HC group, the UHR group showed a significant increase in ALFF values in bilateral superior temporal gyrus, right inferior parietal lobule and a significant decrease in ALFF values in bilateral cerebellum and left thalamus(TFCE corrected,P<0.01). The ALFF value of the bilateral cerebellum and left thalamus of the UHR group was negatively correlated with general symptoms(TFCE corrected,P<0.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that there are extensive brain abnormalities in UHR subjects and abnormal activity brain regions may be associated with clinical symptoms.
