Objective: To explore the application effect of information-motivation-behavioral skills model(IMB model) on respiratory function exercise in patients with COPD disease, and provide new ideas for improving health education.Methods: 98 cases of COPD hospitalized patients were randomly selected and divided into control group (48 cases) and observation group (50 cases) according to the time of admission. The control group received routine care and health education, on top of which, IMB model-based nursing interventions were provided in the observation group. The knowledge of COPD when discharged, the compliance of respiratory function exercise and the life quality after discharged 1 and 3 months were compared.Results: At the time of discharge, the scores of patients with knowledge of COPD in the observation group were higher than that in the control group; 1 and 3 months after discharge, the compliance of respiratory function exercise in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. The score of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease evaluation test(CAT) in the observation group was lower than that of the control group at the time of 1 and 3 months after discharge, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: IMB model-based interventions can enhance patients' knowledge of COPD and rehabilitation compliance, improve patients' life quality. |
