Objective: To investigate the effects of Shenqi Fuzheng injection combined with radiotherapy on serum matrix metalloproteinase and basic fibroblast growth factor in patients with advanced lung cancer. Methods: Eighty-six patients with advanced lung cancer who were treated in our hospital from March 2014 to June 2018 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 43 cases in each group. Patients in the observation group were treated with Shenqi Fuzheng injection and radiotherapy, and radiotherapy was used in the control group. The serum levels of MMP-7, MMP-9, bFGF, total clinical effective rate, and total adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: Before treatment and after treatment, the reduction of MMP-7, MMP-9 and bFGF levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05). The total clinical efficiency of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Shenqi Fuzheng injection combined with radiotherapy for advanced lung cancer can significantly reduce serum MMP-7, MMP-9 and bFGF levels, reduce adverse reactions, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
