Objective:To explore the relationship between serum secreted frizzled-related protein-5 (SFRP-5)and elderly people type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)metabolic syndrome(MS). Methods:Population for health examination and T2DM patients hospitalization from our hospital were selected as research subjects, they were divided into physical examination healthy person (control group), simple diabetes group (non MS group), diabetes complicated with MS group (MS group),30 cases in each group,45 years of age or older. Age, waist circumference,hipline circumference,the ratio of waist circumference to hip circumference,glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),fasting insulin(FINS),insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),hypersensitivity C reactive protein(hsCRP),interleukin-1(IL-1),serum SFRP-5 content were measured.Results:The index of waist circumference, hipline circumference, the ratio of waist circumference to hip circumference,HbA1c,FINS,HOMA-IR,hsCRP,IL-1,serum SFRP-5 had statistical significance among three groups (P<0.05). Correlation analysis showed, serum SFRP-5 level was negatively correlated with BMI, the ratio of waist circumference to hip circumference,HbA1c,FINS,HOMA-IR,hsCRP,IL-1(r=-0.622、-0.466、-0.461、-0.527、-0.588、-0.313、-0.538,P<0.05). Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that HOMA-IR,FINS and IL-1 were independent influencing factors of SFRP-5. Conclusion:Serum SFRP-5 is closely associated with BMI,HOMA-IR, FINS, and IL-1 in T2DM patients combined with MS. |
