Objective: To establish sepsis induced early acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) mouse model by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) and to observe the expression of endocan in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF).Methods: Forty SPF C57BL/6 mouse aged 6-8 weeks were randomly divided into two groups, experimental group (CLP group) and control group (Sham group) for CLP and sham operation respectively. After 24 h, the levels of endocan, IL-6, IL-18, TNF-α and IFN-γ in BALF were measured by Elisa kit. The correlation between endocan and IL-6, IL-18, TNF-α, IFN-γ were analyzed.Results: Compared with Sham group, the levels of endocan, IL-6, IL-18, TNF-α and IFN-γ in BALF in the CLP group were significantly higher(P<0.05).All the difference were statistically significant on the expression.The levels of endocan had significant positive correlation with IL-6, IL-18, TNF-α, IFN-γ respectively.Conclusion: The endocan expression in BALF is increased in mouse with early ARDS induced by sepsis, suggesting that endocan may be a potential biomarker for early ARDS caused by sepsis. |
