Objective: To investigate the risk factor and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in infants. Methods: 233 infants and their mothers who went to development clinic were chosen. The clinical data of all infants and their mothers were collected, include infant IDA, IDA in pregnancy and breast-feeding, feeding method, infant sex, birth weight, the education of parents, add supplement food time, and infantile diarrhea. The infants with IDA were treated with Multivitamin Iron Oral Solution, and the total effective rate of the patients who insist on taking medicine and those who can not insist on taking medicine was compared. Results: Anemia during pregnancy, pregnancy, maternal anemia anemia severity were risk factors of infant IDA (OR=6.846, 4.985, 3.718).The total effective rate of all children who persisted in taking medicine after treatment was as high as 98.21%, far higher than those who could not adhere to the medicine (P<0.05). Conclusion: The risk factors of IDA in infants are IDA in pregnancy and breast-feeding, add supplement food time and infantile diarrhea. Insist on taking medicine according to the doctors' advice is important in the treatment of IDA in infants. |
