Objective: To study how to improve the venepuncture success rate of children with indwelling needle. Methods: Quality control circle team were set up in January 2015, then adopt the layered management, established the theme, analyzed the reason, developed countermeasures, gave the implementation and evaluated effect. Results: There were 476 times of venepuncture in children with measles from May 2015 to August 2015, 412 times were success, the one-time success rate was 86.56%, significantly higher than 69.4% before (χ2= 41.520, P = 41.520). Too deep into and pricking blood vessel, wrong judgment leading to not poke the right blood vessel, the needle was too back to send tube failure, nurses psychological pressure, cooperation of children were also mproved after quality control circle activity. Conclusion: Quality control circle activity can improve the venepuncture success rate of children with indwelling needle and nursing quality, strengthen nurses' comprehensive ability, improve the satisfaction of children or their parents.
