Abstract: Objective To explore the proper choice between DHS and PFLP for the treatment of femoral Intertrochanteric fractures by comparing the clinical effects of 2 kinds of internal fixations. Methods From January 2006 to January 2013, 146cases with intertrochanteric fractures were followed up.They were treated with DHS and PFLP. The data of two groups were collected for statistical analysis on the following aspects: something of operation, clinical healing time of fracture ,complications of internal fixation and post-operative restored function. Results There were 11 cases with loosed main screw in DHS group. The slipping cases above 1.0 cm is 3 among them. But there were no fracture nounion. There were 3 cases with plate rupture in PFLP group. There were 2 cases fracture nounions and 1 cases coxa vara among them . But there was no statistical significance ( P < 0. 05) in the Harris scoring system. Conclusion Both DHS and PFLP are ideal internal fixation. But there is a high incidence of fracture nounion in the PFLP group ,we must take effective measures to protect against it in the operation and post-operation. |
