Objective: To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of inverted papilloma of the bladder (IPB). Methods: The clinical documents of 11 cases of IPB were studied retrospectively and related literature was reviewed. Results: All cases were treated with transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) and proved to be IPB by pathology. All cases were underwent bladder irrigation, and followed up from 12 months to 36 months. No case had recurrence. Conclusion: Inverted papilloma of the bladder can be treated with good prognosis. Cystoscopy and biopsy is the most important diagnosis method. TURBT is the standard therapeutic method. Bladder irrigation therapy after initial operation is important to prevent the tumor recurrence. |
