Objective To explore the clinical value of real-time three-dimensional echocar diography ( RT-3DE) and two-dimensional ultrasound(2DE) in patients with cardiovascular diseases. Methods 210 patients with cardiovascular disease were gived RT-3DE and 2DE , all the data were stored into hard disk and CD, and the diagnosis results were etrospectively analyzed. Results RT-3DE can real-time display the three-dimensional structure and function of heart status: display clearly each valve and valve structure, evaluation the function of the artificial disc state; observe and measure the interatrial septum defect size and spatial location relationship with heart big blood vessels; observe the location of left atrial thrombus and active state; observe the ventricular wall hypertrophy myocardial and infarction area； evaluate the clinical value of PCI for coronary artery disease．Conclusion RT-3DE is better than 2-DE，RT-3DE may provide the qualitative and quantitative diagnostic accuracy and produce potential clinical values for cardiovascular diseases。
