Objective To explore the status and the risk factors of sleep quality in hospitalized patients with sudden deafness, and to provide evidence for improving sleep quality. Methods A total of 138 hospitalized patients with sudden deafness were investigated by Pittsburgh sleep quality index and self-designed questionnaire. Results The total score of PSQI was 11.35+3.05, 74.6% patients had sleep disorders. Logistic regression analysis indicated that the factors of sleep quality were tinnitus(OR=7.023), the reaction of corticosteroids(OR=6.542), worrying about therapeutic effects(OR=5.476), the degree of hearing loss(OR=4.113), vertigo (OR=1.679)and the activities of nurses(OR=1.519). Conclusions The incidence of sleep disorders was high in hospitalized patients with sudden deafness. Effective interventions should be taken for patients according to the influencing factors, in order to improve patients’ sleep quality. |
