[Abstract]Objective: compare the prognosis of hepatic hemangioma for surgical treatment and follow-up observations.Methods: Follow-up done between January 2003 to January 2013 in the first affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university.Total 90 cases of hepatic hemangioma were studied and the patients were divided into two groups.Group one there were 50 cases followed for observation in group two there were 40 cases observed for surgical treatment.In the statistics of observation group during the process of follow-up there were presence of hemangioma related symptoms, such as change in the size of mass.In surgical group there was observation of surgical complication such as postoperative discomfort associated with surgery.Results: There was a significant difference in the prognosis of surgical and follow up group (P < 0. 01).In Surgical treatment there were observation of postoperative complications such as local discomfort. As compare to the surgical group the prognosis of follow up group was more secure.Conclusion: asymptomatic hepatic hemangioma should follow-up for observation. |
