Objective: To investigate the effect of commercial blenderized diet on nutritional state in tube feeding elderly patients. Methods: Twenty-seven tube feeding patients from Beijing Geriatric Hospital were choosed, commercial blenderized diet were provided for six months. Triceps skinfolds(TSF) and midarm circumference(MAC) were measured every month. The serum levels of hemoglobin(HB)、total protein(TP)、albumin(ALB)、prealbumin(PAB)、triglyceride(TG)、cholesterol(TC)、calcium(Ca)、phosphorus(P)、natrium(Na)、kalium(K) were recorded every month. Results: After nutritional support, there was significant difference in TSF、MAMC、HB、TP、ALB and PAB(P<0.01), there was significant difference in TC、and TG(P<0.05),there was no difference in Na、K、Ca and P(P>0.05). Conclusions: Commercial blenderized diet can support the tube feeding elderly patients. |
