[Abstract] Objectives To understand the health condition of older people (≥60years of age) in Yancheng city, Jiangsu Province and provide a basis/an evidence for chronic disease management. Methods Date were collected from the health information of 2695 cases of old adults from June 2012 to October 2012 in community health service centers, focusing on analyzing blood biochemical examination results.Results In 2965 subjects, the detection rate of hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia was higher; The abnormal rate of high cholesterol, triglycerides and hyperglycemia was 50.0%，36.4% and 10.9% respectively; The average level and abnormal rate of blood glucose and blood lipid in female group were obviously higher than that in male group (P<0.05), The abnormal rate of urea increased with age; Besides, the detection rate of hyperlipidemia and abnormal renal function in high blood glucose group were higher than that in normal blood glucose group(p<0.05). Conclusions It is necessary to do targeted strengthening on publicity and education on health knowledge for older adults, and regular physical examination and health management.
