Objective: This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the influence of psychological intervention on the anxiety and depressive symptoms for patients with ovarian cancer in China. Methods: Data collection of relevant clinical controlled trials were extensively selected from Chinese databases. Meta-analysis was conducted by STATA 12.0 software. Results: According to inclusion criteria, 4 clinical controlled trials were assessed with a total of 286 ovarian cancer patients, including 143 patients in the psychologic intervention group and 143 patients in routine nursing group. Psychologic intervention may effectively alleviate the symptoms of anxiety (SMD = -2.04, 95%CI = -3.01~-1.07, P < 0.001), and ease the symptoms of depression (SMD = -1.93, 95%CI = -2.50~-1.49, P < 0.001). Conclusion: The present meta-analysis indicates that psychologic intervention may significantly reduce the anxiety and depression of ovarian cancer patients. |
