Objective: To understand the characteristics of suicide attempters in female college student.Method: they were assessed with mental health status questionnaire,defense style questionnaire,impulsive behavior scale,modified overt aggressive behavior scale,adolescent self-rating life events check list,and structure clinical interview for DSM-IV between18 males and 44 females suicide attempters. Results: we found the female took a more moderate way of medication and poison,and the rate of impulsive suicide attempters in the female group was higher,and immense psychological effect of negative life events in the female group exceeded the male.Conclusion: we should formulate positively intervention for suicide attmepts in female.
