[Abstract] Objective :To observe the effects of total flavone of Abelmoschus manihot (TFA)on apoptosis and apoptosis-related protein fas expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Methods: Study apoptosis and protein fas by application of flow cytometry in HUVEC ,which cultured with different concentrations of TFA . Results : after 72h, HUVEC apoptosis rates were: control group, 10.1%, TFA5μg/ml group 7.2%, TFA10μg/ml group 3.9%, TFA 20μg/ml group 8.5%. Compared with control group, significant difference (p <0.01); TFA can make fas expression in HUVEC decreased, compared with control group ,significant difference (p = 0.000,0.000,0.028). Conclusion: 5-20μg/ml TFA inhibited HUVEC apoptosis, and the mechanism is related with reduced expression of the fas. |
