[Abstract] Objective To contrast the curative effect of the union treatment of TACE and PMCT with the simple treatment of TACE in the treatment of HCC. Methods Sixty patients with HCC were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group included 34 patients，who were treated with TACE+ PMCT, while control group included 26 patients, who were treated with TACE alone.Sixty patients were followed up 36 months to analyze the difference of therapeutic efficacy，survival rate and adverse reaction between two sets. Results In treatment group(34 patients) PR has 9 cases，SD has 16 cases，PD has 9 cases，while in control group (26 patients) PR has 4 cases，SD has 13 cases，PD has 9 cases. It has statistical difference for comparing one year survival rate between treatment group and control group (P<0.01). It has no statistical difference for comparing adverse reaction among the two groups. Conclusions PMCT Combined with TACE can enhance the curative effect on hepatocellular carcinoma and help increase the patients’ survival rate,which is a valuable remedy for HCC to prolong long-term survival rate.
