Objective: To investigate the effect of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) on tumor growth and related gene expression in breast cancer rats. Methods: Unproduced 40 female SD rats were randomly divided into control group and human chorionic gonadotropin intervention group,20 in each. The occurrence and growth of breast tumors in the two groups of rats were observed. Fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to observe the expression of genes associated with breast cancer in rat breast cancer cells and other normal breast tissues. Results: The number of carcinogens and the number of tumors in the control group were significantly higher than that in the hCG intervention group (P<0.05), and the latency time was longer than that of the hCG intervention group (P<0.05). The expressions of MMP1, MMP2, MMP9 and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in the hCG intervention group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), and the expression of the TIMP1 gene was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The expression of PTEN and IGF1R genes in the hCG intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the expression of IGF1 gene was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: hCG inhibits the growth of breast cancer in rats and promotes the expression of TIMP1, PTEN and IGF1R, and inhibits the expression of RNA as well as IGF1, such as MMP1, MMP2, MMP9, VEGF and so on. |
